Welcome to Kuglen.com!
This is easy – the online address is Kuglen.com. Everyone is invited to participate – either by checking in every once in a while, making a comment to a blog that has been posted, or by posting your own blog.
Gray Kuglen is the owner of the Kuglen.com site and he has been generous enough with me – he gave me my own mailbox here at Kuglen.com and made me an editor of the blog. The address and the password has been sitting in my inbox for a couple of months, waiting until I figured I had a few extra moments to look at this and try and figure out how to use it. I am at the end of my Spring break from teaching 11th/12th grade English in Burbank (yes, it has taken me nearly the entire vacation to get to the point where I can even think about this – that’s how overwhelmed I feel), and I am finally ready to try and figure this out.
This is where the rest of you come in – meaning anyone who happens by this site and looks at anything that is posted. I think it would be a good idea to keep Kuglen.com family oriented – and by family oriented I mean anyone with the last name Kuglen, along with the Rigalis, the Salles, the Weisens, the Macdonalds (we know you are out there Gordon, Maureen, and Michael!) and I am also including the folks on my mom’s side – the Greenes and the Carenbauers. Finally, everyone else who visits, please consider yourself family, too. Who knows what form this will eventually take - I don’t plan on doing any ranting and raving over things I can’t control, like politics and the condition of public education in California - and I don’t think you want to read the minutiae of my life (although I could easily take this blog in that direction), so I thought it best to, at first, try to keep these postings as a way to keep in touch and to allow myself to be the processing center.
Send me a pictures of you, your family, your parents, an old picture (like the Christmas one from above) and I will post it to the blog. You can add anything you want to write, too – either embed it in the email you send to me or attach it as a Word document and I will post it within a few days after I get it.
How often do we ever see each other? Hardly ever. Kuglen.com – and this blog - is a way for us to keep up to date with each other in between the five-to-ten year breaks we have when people manage to get themselves together.
Finally, pass the information about the blog and the address on to anyone and everyone you think might be interested in contributing to what we are trying to do.
I am easy to get ahold of – Sam@Kuglen.com <— just click on the link and you can email me!
I am looking forward to hearing from you ALL.
Let’s get this started!!
